January 2008 Flying Scot ® Family Package:
FLYING SCOT ® in your choice of standard hull, deck, and trim colors.
Positive buoyancy: foam and balsa plus reserve buoyancy bag in bow.
Standing rigging: custom anodized spars, stainless steel shrouds and forestay, chainplates built integral with the hull.
Running rigging: a 3:1 Harken mainsheet system with a swivelbase and cleat, a Harken jib sheeting system with adjustable jib cars and cammatic cleats, a 2:1 Harken adjustable outhaul, a 5:1 Harken boom vang, halyard winch, stainless steel main and jib halyards with Wichard shackles, a 16:1 centerboard hoist, and the standard permanently installed spinnaker hardware.
Convenience items: a mast hinge, 3 storage bins under the deck, a boom crutch, a safety line attached to transom mooring rings, a single port on the left transom, a spare parts kit, a bailing scoop, a tiller tender, a paddle holder and a bow line.
Standard
Color Choices: Hull & Deck (NPG ISO Gelcoat): white or light gray,
special colors are at extra cost.
Waterline
(two-part paint): red, medium blue, dark blue, green, dark green,
white, and black.
Cove Striping (vinyl tape): red, medium blue, dark blue, green, dark green, white, and black.
SAILS - USA made jib and main sails with battens and sail bags. The main and jib are white, the insignia and numerals may be black, red, blue, or green.
TRAILER - Our galvanized trailer is designed for the FLYING SCOT ™. Standard galvanized wheels, galvanized axle, and special "easy-launch" features of neoprene rollers, and a walkway. A tie-down rig (boat strap and mast carriers) are provided.
Every boat includes
payments to the FLYING SCOT® Sailing Association for certification
of the hull and sails. These one time fees help support the
FSSA.
